Yes they do give off a little condensation, but it's not a signficant amount.
Would you be able to take one of these on a plane?
Yes that wouldn't be a problem, they contain 'SAP' which is a chemical very similar to that found in a baby nappy. Always check with the airline in advance however, as they may not be happy with an unknown chemical.
